Dr Faiza Farooq completed her BVSc and AH from the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, SKUAST-K, Kashmir followed by a Master in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from SKUAST-J, Jammu, with the area of specialization being orthopedic surgeries in canines. She holds the position of first author of a research paper in the Journal of Animal Research Soon after MVSc, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Radiology at SDS College affiliated with Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences HISAR, where she worked for 6 months. Wanting to refine her clinical skills and practice as a full-time clinician she joined Petzone Mumbai, as a surgeon under the mentorship of Dr Leena Dalal. After working in Mumbai for 2 years she joined Maxvets East of Kailash. After working in the Department of Emergency and Critical Care at MaxVets East of Kailash, She is now working as a Surgeon and General Physician at MaxVets Noida. Dr Faiza aims to hone her surgical and diagnostic skills. To keep herself well-versed with the current trends of veterinary practice, she keeps on attending various CE programs and seminars. She has also attended a hands-on workshop on Small Animal soft tissue surgery. Her areas of interest are internal medicine, diagnostics, and orthopedic and laparoscopic surgeries. Besides academics, she has been awarded as a winner in various debates and essay writing competitions at the college level. Dr Faiza is a strong believer in Teamwork and Compassion. Her daily focus is to grow at an individual level, as well as, as a team.
